Performing Arts – Acting Program Objectives: For students to have a deep level of understanding and to be confident in the use of acting elements such as voice, movement and improvisation. For students to develop their self-discipline and work ethic. For students to have an understanding of a variety of acting techniques and practitioners’ methods. For students to be confident in preparing and performing for real-life industry castings. For students to develop a varied, professional show reel. To prepare students for a professional career in acting.
CERTIFICATE PROGRAM IN PERFORMING ARTS – ACTING (CPPA)
The program offers a holistic approach to acting, movement and voice. Students participate in public performances as well as performing in EFAstudent film projects throughout their course of study. The program is comprised of 12 week terms.
DIPLOMA PROGRAM IN PERFORMING ARTS – ACTING (DPPA)
Building on the foundational certificate program in performing arts – Acting, the program places a special emphasis on individual work and audition pieces. Students participate in public performances as well as EFA student film projects throughout their course of study. The program is comprised of 24 week terms.
ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN PERFORMING ARTS AND MEDIA
This is a one year acting intensive course. It is a practical and vocational program aimed primarily at students who are committed to pursuing and developing a career in performing arts. By the end of the program you will gain more confidence in acting for the screen and learn how to survive as an actor in the business of film. This program is comprised of 44 week term.
